Welcome Quarry Lodge Farming

The Quarry Lodge is like a 'Home away from Home' and is nestled on 100 acres of sheep and beef farmland.  We are more than happy to show you around our farmland and see the animals.

From feeding the pets lambs to seeing the tractor in full swing we have it all here and going on!

We have two seperate farms 2.5 km away from each other.  The Quarry Lodge is nestled in 103 acres of established rolling farm land.

The main homestead, Thorn-Lea Farm in nestled on 450 acres of rolling to hill farm land.

We carry 1900 breeding  ewes and 20 mixed aged steers.  We also have 500 hoggets that we put out on grazing during the winter period and over lambing time.

Our pets include 2 cats, a horse, three farm dogs, a couple of pigs, two goats, hens, chicks and a rooster.

Your hosts are Kathryn and John who work on the farm together with their five children.  They do all the work themselves except for employing contractors in for those bigger jobs.
